Masterson’s Pub , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I encountered behind its doors was appalling and beyond comprehension .
The Condition of the Premises : Unhygienic and Abandoned
From the moment I entered , it was evident that sanitation was not a priority at this venue. The floorboards were filthy, and a foul smell of old alcohol and uncleaned toilets filled the entire bar . Smelling a mixture of ammonia , decay and illness . The serving zone , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and trash that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The restroom was in even a more revolting state — backed up, with a snapped lever and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human excrement .
